Growing up with a chronic illness is extremely isolating. These brave adolescents, teenagers and young adults are facing health issues that keep them from joining in school and social activities. As a result, they suffer loneliness, depression and anxiety. This can actually worsen their condition and reduce their potential for survival.

The Renal Teen Prom is a life-changing event that young people living with kidney disease can look forward to every year.  The Prom brings them together to share experiences, strengths, hopes... and a great party!  They feel special for a night, and forget about the difficult things they have to go through. They discover that they are not alone, and that ‘one friend really can make a difference’.
